Regional Strategies

Welcome to the Regional Strategies section of the website.

Regional policy is set out in a range of strategies and plans produced by various different organisations. Although we have tried to list the main documents, this is not a fully comprehensive list and does not include local strategies. Please email us if you think we have missed an important document.

It is also important to be aware that regional governance structures are changing following the government’s Sub National Review of economic development. The Yorkshire and Humber Assembly has been dissolved and new statutory duties have been devolved to local authorities. The regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, and Local Government Yorkshire and Humber (LGYH) now have joint responsibility for producing a single Integrated Regional Strategy which will replace both the Regional Economic Strategy and the Regional Spatial Strategy in 2011.
