Travel and Tourism in Yorkshire and Humber

Yorkshire Futures latest Citzens Panel survey, has identified that the region's residents believe that the region is a great place to take leisure and tourism breaks.

This survey asked residents of Yorkshire and Humber for their views on the region as a leisure and tourism destination, visits they have undertaken, hosting visitors, and what would
encourage them to take more day trips and holidays in the region.

The results confirm the importance of visitors from within the region to the visitor economy of Yorkshire and Humber, with most people taking regular day trips and holidays. Views on the
region are overwhelmingly positive; nevertheless, the survey identifies a number of areas where improvements could encourage people to visit more.
