Partners currently include: Yorkshire and The Humber Rural Observatory; Yorkshire and The Humber Regional Work and Skills Partnership; Efficiency North; Value of Trees; Yorkshire and Humber Regional Environment Forum; Yorkshire and Humber Historic Environment Forum and Your Climate. Yorkshire and Humber Rural Observatory

The Yorkshire and Humber Rural Observatory is the regional rural intelligence network for Yorkshire and The Humber, to inform policy-making and delivery in rural areas. The YHRO will lead on the development and promotion of a regional rural evidence base and provide expert advice to regional partners on key issues and trends across rural Yorkshire and The Humber.

Regional Skills Partnership for Yorkshire and Humber

The Regional Skills Partnership for Yorkshire and Humber (RSP) has been established to 'step up a gear' in meeting the skills challenge outlined in the National Skills Strategy "21st Century Skills Realising Our potential" White Paper.

Essentially the RSP aims to ensure that the Leitch Review is implemented in this region.

Efficiency North

Efficiency North is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government's Beacon Peer Funding programme and the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership.

Our vision is:

To be recognised across the region as the practitioners network for Best Practice in Housing Maintenance and Construction.

Efficiency North is hosted by Sheffield City Council and steered by Asset Management Professionals from the following organisations:

Yorkshire and Humber Regional Environment Forum

Yorkshire & Humber Regional Environment Forum (YHREF) was formed in 2001 to coordinate and represent the views of a wide range of organisations for whom a key interest is in the enhancement of environmental conditions in the Yorkshire and Humber Region and in the social and economic value of such changes. Our purpose is to develop a shared environmental agenda for the Region and a coordinated voice to promote and lobby on environmental issues at regional level. We will achieve this by developing closer working relations between the environmental organisations and a signifcant repository for environmental expertise within the Region.

Your Climate - Climate Change Partnership for Yorkshire and Humber

The Climate Change Partnership for Yorkshire & Humber brings together the key stakeholders across the region to drive forward our work to tackle the cause and effect of climate change. It is the responsibility of the Partnership to take forward delivery of the Climate Change Plan for Yorkshire & Humber including integrating the key adaptation work arising from the Regional Adaptation Study.

The website features the latest news and events from across the region and you will find information about our partners, our work programme, as well as tools and resources to help you deliver your carbon reduction targets and prepare for a changing climate.

Yorkshire and Humber Historic Environment Forum

The Yorkshire and Humber Historic Environment Forum (YHHEF) was formed in 2002 to provide a single voice in the region for all those concerned with the current and future management of the historic environment. Their aspirations are:

  • To promote understanding and appreciation of the historic environment, and its positive role in the regeneration and renaissance of Yorkshire region
  • To help market the historic environment to visitors to the region
  • To develop integrated policies relating to the historic environment of the region
  • To act as a single focus for consultation on the future of the historic environment in Yorkshire
  • To share information on the plans of individual organisations and to work in partnership together and with others
  • To share best practice in the management of the historic environment, including the need to develop skills and continuity in conservation and craftmanship, and the need to build capacity and engage communities in such management
  • To help English Heritage in its role as lead body advising government and local government on the historic environment in Yorkshire
