Monthly Policy Briefing - March 2008       

This month's briefing includes a number of policy documents that are of relevance to the economic agenda. These include the consultation on the Sub-National Review of Economic Development and Regeneration, the Innovation White Paper, the Enterprise Strategy, and the Raising Expectations White Paper which sets out proposals for the future delivery of skills for adults and young people. Labour Market Statistics - February 2008       

Labour Force Survey (LFS) data for Yorkshire and The Humber indicate that the trend in the employment rate is starting to increase, but the latest rate is not significantly different from a year ago. The trend in the unemployment rate is decreasing, but the latest rate is not significantly different from a year ago.
